Publisher

Laborly is published on an individual basis by Pierre Corre, a French self-employed entrepreneur (auto-entrepreneur) registered under SIRET 822 191 979 00019, acting as data controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU Regulation 2016/679).

About the application

Laborly is a mobile application that adds up the time you spend on household tasks and converts it into an indicative monetary value. The data you enter describes a household's daily life and is treated as sensitive; we handle it with restraint.

Data collected

The application only stores data you enter or explicitly choose to provide:

  • Recorded tasks: name of the chosen or created task, category, duration, start time, time zone, date.
  • Preferences: hourly rate, display name, language, theme (light / dark / automatic, colour palette).
  • Scanned document images (receipts, invoices, prescriptions, leaflets) if you use the Scan feature. These images are stored exclusively on your device.
  • Anonymous internal identifier: a UUID v7 generated locally on your device at first launch, with no link to your real identity.

The application does NOT collect:

  • real email address, phone number, legal name, postal address,
  • address book contacts, microphone, geolocation,
  • photo library images (the camera is only used on demand to scan a document; no capture is made without your knowledge),
  • advertising identifiers (Apple IDFA, Google AAID),
  • usage statistics sent to any third party.

Camera use

The camera is only invoked when you start a document scan from the "Scan" tab. The resulting image is stored locally in the application's private storage and is never transmitted to the publisher or to any third party. You can deny camera permission in your device settings: the Scan feature will be disabled, the rest of the application remains fully functional.

Local storage

All your data is first stored locally on your device, in a SQLite database located in the application's private container (protected by the operating system: Data Protection on iOS, application sandbox on Android). The technical credentials used to connect to the sync server are stored encrypted in the Keychain (iOS) or Keystore (Android).

Synchronisation to the publisher's server is enabled by default (see point 4). If you disable it in Settings, new data will no longer leave your device.

Synchronisation by default

From the first launch of the application, an anonymous account is created for you (see below) and synchronisation is enabled by default, without any action on your part. The application transmits the data listed in point 1 to a PocketBase instance self-hosted by the publisher. You can disable synchronisation at any time in Settings > Synchronisation: data already transmitted remains on the server as long as the account exists (see point 6) and can be erased on request (see point 7).

  • Hosting subprocessor: Online SAS (Scaleway brand), 8 rue de la Ville l'Évêque, 75008 Paris, France.
  • Data location: datacenters located in France (European Union). No transfer outside the EU is performed.
  • In transit: HTTPS / TLS only.
  • At rest: disk encryption at the operating system level on the server side.
  • Authentication: an anonymous account of the form <uuid>@anon.laborly.local + random password is created automatically. You do not have to provide any personal information.
  • Isolation: server-side access rules guarantee that each user can only read and modify their own data.
  • No sharing: your data is never transferred, sold, rented or passed on to any third party, except as strictly necessary for the hosting subprocessor.

Legal basis for processing

Processing is based on your consent (Article 6.1.a GDPR), expressed by installing and using the application. You may withdraw this consent at any time by uninstalling the application.

Retention period

  • Local data: kept as long as the application is installed on your device. Uninstalling erases all local data.
  • Server data (if sync is enabled): kept as long as your anonymous account exists. Deletion on request, or automatically after 24 consecutive months without connection.

Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: all data you have entered is viewable directly in the application (Today, History, Summary tabs).
  • Right to rectification: you can edit or delete any entry via the swipe gesture on the list.
  • Right to erasure: uninstalling erases local data. To also erase server data, write to specifying the <uuid>@anon.laborly.local identifier visible in Settings > Developer mode (triple-tap on the "Laborly" logo).
  • Right to portability: on request to , a JSON export of your data will be sent to you.
  • Right to object and to restrict processing: not using or uninstalling the application is equivalent to withdrawing consent.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, www.cnil.fr. Users in other EU countries may also contact their own national supervisory authority.

No profiling or tracking

  • No third-party analytics tools (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.).
  • No advertising SDK.
  • No tracking pixel or cookie.
  • No automated decision-making producing legal effects.
  • An anonymous crash reporting system may be introduced later, and only with explicit opt-in. As of today, none is in place.

Children

The application is not specifically intended for children under 13. No data is knowingly collected from them. Given the absence of any real identifier and the strictly local default usage, the application does not expose minors to remote data processing.

Changes

Any substantial change to this policy will be notified via an information screen in the application at the next launch, and the update date at the top of this document will be refreshed.
